For those of you who didn't grow up in a damn barn, Puissance is this well established but bizarre off-shoot  discipline in the show-jumping world.  Instead of having to jump anywhere from 8 to 14 fences quickly, cleanly and all of that, there maybe two to four fences set up in a ring around one ENORMOUS fence - point being clearing the big momma.  Most riders hit up one fence to focus their horse before charging what resembles, (because it is), a 7' foot brick wall - no time-stake jump-offs here, all you gotta do is clear it.

This is what is looks like when it goes wrong:

Alright, so the brick is made out of plastic, but show me an x-gamer who'd be able to sit on this beast and get up and over.  This horse and her rider are both 7 feet of badass  ---
